Break Through Self-Doubt and Fear…Tuesday Tips

Happy Tuesday friends...as you go about your week, remember not to let self-doubt and fear creep into your life as you go about trying to accomplish your goals or healing process.

Self-doubt and fear interfere with our ability to achieve or set goals. Self-doubt and fear are the voices in our head telling us, “You’ll never succeed, so why try?” and “who do you think you are?” Self-doubt and fear are also what make us listen to those voices and decide to give up before we get started. (don’t let this be you)

While many people experience self-doubt and fear at some point in their lives, they take action anyway. Others remain stuck or are confident in only one area of their life, such as work. They are too afraid to try new things like going back to school, entering new relationships or learning new skills.

When we let self-doubt and fear rule our lives, we miss opportunities. We predict and believe that nothing good will happen to us, so we don’t try anything new, and refuse to take even low-level risks. This leads us to discount people or situations that could help us reach our goals. While self-doubt and fear can come in different forms and from different sources, we can learn to break through them.

I struggled with self-doubt for years as a child, a teen, also throughout my adult life. Fear kept me from pursuing so goals and dreams I wanted to accomplish.

This resulted in me never being my true self, so it was hard to step out of my shell, although I’m a very outgoing person I let fear and doubt rob me from my best life. Not anymore…๐Ÿ˜Š

Today I have a successful cleaning and new mentoring business. I have close friends, and a wonderful son and grandson. Learning from my life and others, I'm raising him to believe in himself, understand his feelings, and not be afraid of his fears. You too can learn to let go of your fears in order to live your best life by using these simple tips I provide here below:๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿพ

1๏ธโƒฃ Make a list of your fears. Only by admitting that they exist can you seek solutions.

2๏ธโƒฃ Write down how these fears affect your life.

3๏ธโƒฃ Become aware of the voices in your head and write down those negative messages.

4๏ธโƒฃ Start building a support system of friends and eliminate people from your life who foster feelings of negativity.

5๏ธโƒฃ Join a support group of people who have similar issues.

6๏ธโƒฃ Change each negative message to one that is affirming and constructive.

7๏ธโƒฃ Read books that help you feel better about yourself.

8๏ธโƒฃ Be aware of your past, and be willing to let go of it.

9๏ธโƒฃ List your goals and the actions you need to achieve them.

๐Ÿ”Ÿ Take one of those actions every day. Each time you do something that brings you closer to achieving your goals you will feel better about yourself.

When fears and self-doubts come back, and they still do, I break through them by using the tools and skills I’ve learned and now teach. They work.๐Ÿ˜Š

Almost all successes and attainments in life come from your ability to feel certain that you can accomplish what you set out to achieve. Confidence is the gateway to success; to the life that you wish to lead and to the dreams that you desire to live.

With confidence you can boldly progress towards your ambitions and aspirations. With confidence you can rise up and handle lifeโ€™s demands and challenges. You can tackle any hurdle and obstruction, and move on to the next step of your journey to fulfilment and achievement.

One of the principle requirements to anything you want to do in your life is confidence. Confidence is an indispensable part of your development, betterment, progress and success, both at a personal and professional level. With confidence you can forge ahead to fulfil your potential and perform at your peak level.

Having confidence is the crux that allows you to achieve your true potential in whatever situation; in your relationships, your work or career, your finances and your self-image.

When you experience a lack of confidence, it may stop you from striving for what you want. This feeling of lack of confidence can be the root of many complications and hardships that block you from achieving your desires. It can be like a large thorn that continually bursts the bubble of desire.

There may have been times when you have felt a level of confidence when you were engaged in an activity that you were good at; such as driving a car, being a parent or managing your team. At those times you would have displayed a high level of certainty, which is a form of confidence.

However, there may have been other circumstances where you found that you felt less confident. On these occasions, you would achieve a fraction of what is truly possible for you. With determination and focus to pursue and gain confidence, you can develop the strength and fortitude to climb out of the depths of any circumstances, and take advantage of the opportunities and successes that lay ahead of you.

In the same way that you have learned to lack confidence, you can also learn to have unlimited confidence. And the simplest and quickest way to kick-start the engines of your brain, is to know and accept that confidence can be an acquired process; it can be learned and formatted to suit all moments.

As your confidence increases, you can take a front row seat in mastering many areas of your life. You will find that you become more and more comfortable and confident in multiple areas, including:
โ€ข	Moving ahead in your career 
โ€ข	Starting your own business
โ€ข	Embracing the risks of every day life
โ€ข	Refusing to be held back by fear
โ€ข	Creating circumstances rather than waiting for them
โ€ข	Smiling more and enjoying life 
โ€ข	Dramatically improving your health

Successful and dynamic people have gained mastery on how to feel courageous and confident. When you develop and build on your own confidence skills, you, too, will feel and become a different person. You will feel much more enthusiastic, motivated and determined in every aspect of your life.

Once you improve on the way you think and feel about yourself, your beliefs and your actions will follow. You will confidently overcome the challenges that life thrusts upon you and you will manage them with new-found belief and faith in your capability to do so.

As you become more confident you abandon worry, hesitation and, more importantly, you side-step fear. The focus here is on your whole being, every part of you; your thoughts, the images in your mind, your emotions, and ultimately your behaviour and the actual outcomes in your life.

Bear in mind that as you focus on change, change does begin to happen. It is fun, motivating and very rewarding to feel and see yourself growing and improving and becoming more confident and effective day-by-day and week-by-week.

There is great power in believing that you can succeed in your quest for greater confidence. With awareness and consistency, this is attainable. Your confidence can stretch beyond any measurable scale and further still, knowing no boundaries.

Searching For Happiness…Stop looking in your neighbors yard ๐Ÿค”

Weโ€™ve all heard the clichรฉ โ€˜The grass is always greener in our neighborโ€™s yardโ€™. What they donโ€™t tell you is that his grass still has to be mowed, watered, weeded, raked and fertilized.

The Buddha was the first to recognize that emotional pain can be just as real and debilitating as physical pain. Through careful observation he determined that people were good at spending time on their physical hygiene, but spent little or no time on mental hygiene. He believed that the key to finding happiness was in relieving oneโ€™s emotional suffering and that the best way to reduce this suffering was by controlling our emotions.

Just as a good mother watches where her children go, the wise man watches where his mind goes. One of the harmful emotions that the Buddha taught we need to watch is envy.

Envy is time spent wanting what our neighbor has instead of time spent enjoying what we have. Now itโ€™s true that when used properly envy can be a terrific motivator. The problem is that real envy — always wanting more and then discovering that more still isnโ€™t enough — is difficult to control.

The Buddha taught that the way to achieve happiness begins with turning negative thoughts in to positive ones. The successful landscaper knows that for his lawn to thrive it needs to be weeded and fertilized. The person seeking happiness can begin by following his example and weeding out any negative thoughts and then planting positive ones.

Many people believe that happiness is just a winning lottery ticket away, but true happiness is not based on how much we have, but on how little we need. Happiness is accepting, appreciating and enjoying what the world has to offer. True happiness can only be achieved if we spend more time weeding out envious thoughts rather than in trying to match or better our neighborโ€™s lawn.

Just because an elephant is the biggest doesnโ€™t mean heโ€™s also the best animal in the jungle.

Sometimes it is as simple as taking the time to look back at how far youโ€™ve come instead of always looking ahead to where you want to be. When was the last time you took a moment to pat yourself on the back for the things you have accomplished?

Besides, maybe your neighbor works harder at his yard than you do, or maybe heโ€™s just luckier. Is matching or bettering your neighborโ€™s accomplishments really that important? We all get to choose how we spend our time.

Stop looking at your neighborโ€™s yard and start enjoying your own, thatโ€™s what itโ€™s there for. Weed out the envy and youโ€™ll find your whole outlook improving.

If you want to be happy tomorrow you need to begin working at it today. It’s just that simple..

Some people spend their lives waiting for happiness to arrive on its own and it never comes. Others work hard at creating wealth but still arenโ€™t happy, discovering that money only brings a whole different set of problems. Happiness is a state of mind and not the size of your bank account. Happiness is emotional and not physical. Each individual needs to work at creating their own happiness.

I like how Richard Bach, the author of Jonathan Livingston Seagull, put it when he said, โ€œIf your happiness depends on what somebody else does, I guess you do have a problem.โ€

To find happiness you first have to understand where happiness comes from. Memories are to the mind what a mirror is to the eyes – a reflection. The mirror reflects the physical while our memories reflect the emotional. When you look in the mirror it reflects what you look like; when you look in your mind it reflects who you are. One big difference between the two is that you can change what you see in the mirror but you canโ€™t change the memories reflected in your mind.

We tend to spend a lot of time trying to improve what we see in the mirror, but little or no effort trying to improve our thoughts. Every action creates a memory. Do you really think that the person who is bitter and angry today was happy and cheerful yesterday? If a person says or does something which angers or upsets us, we can either add to the painful memory with our own negative actions or we can replace them with positive actions and create positive memories.

If you want to be happy tomorrow you must choose carefully what you do today, because todayโ€™s actions will be reflected in tomorrowโ€™s memories and you can not make them go away. Everything you do today will be in tomorrowโ€™s reflection. The next time a person angers you, instead of lashing out, try imagining that you are holding up a mirror that bounces the reflection back at him, knowing that his actions or words are a reflection of him and not of you.

We all want to like what we see in the mirror. To be truly happy we also have to like what we see reflected in our minds. What the mirror reflects is not nearly as powerful as what the mind reflects, for it reflects our words and actions.๐Ÿ’—

10 questions you should ask to yourself: a preparation to self-improvement!!!

Be all you can be, but it’s not always in the Army. I often see myself as somewhat contented with my life the way things are, but of course it’s hard to think of anything else when where are real issues to be discussed.๐Ÿค”

Still I aspire for something deeper and more meaningful.

So we’re all pelted with problems. Honestly it shouldn’t even bother or even hinder us to becoming all we ought to be. Aspirations as kids should continue to live within us, even though it would be short-lived or as long as we could hold on to the dream. They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricksโ€ฆ or can they?

1. What do I really want?
The question of the ages. So many things you want to do with your life and so little time to even go about during the day.

Find something that you are good at can help realize that small step towards improvement. Diligence is the key to know that it is worth it.

2. Should I really change?
Today’s generation has taken another level of redefining ‘self’, or at least that’s what the kids are saying. Having a teenage niece and nephew has taught me that there are far worse things that they could have had than acne or maybe even promiscuity. So how does that fit into your lifestyle?

If history has taught us one thing, it’s the life that we have gone through. Try to see if partying Seventies style wouldn’t appeal to the younger generation, but dancing is part of partying. Watch them applaud after showing them how to really dance than break their bones in break-dancing.๐Ÿ˜‚

3. What’s the bright side in all of this?
With so much is happening around us there seem to be no room for even considering that light at the end of the tunnel. We can still see it as something positive without undergoing so much scrutiny. And if it’s a train at the end of the tunnel, take it for a ride and see what makes the world go round!

4. Am I comfortable with what I’m doing?
There’s always the easy way and the right way when it comes to deciding what goes with which shoes, or purse, shirt and whatnot. It doesn’t take a genius to see yourself as someone unique, or else we’ll all be equally the same in everything we do. Variety brings in very interesting and exciting questions to be experimented.

5. Have I done enough for myself?
Have you, or is there something more you want to do? Discontentment in every aspect can be dangerous in large doses, but in small amounts you’ll be able to see and do stuff you could never imagine doing.

6. Am I happy at where I am today?
It’s an unfair question so let it be an answer! You love being a good and loving mom or dad to your kids, then take it up a notch! Your kids will love you forever. The same goes with everyday life!

7. Am I appealing to the opposite sex?
So maybe I don’t have an answer to that, but that doesn’t mean I can’t try it, though. Whether you shape-up, change the way you wear your clothes or hair, or even your attitude towards people, you should always remember it will always be for your own benefit.(not that I’m looking, since I’m happily married) lol!๐Ÿ’“

8. How much could I have?
I suppose in this case there is no such things on having things too much or too little, but it’s more on how badly you really need it. I’d like to have lots of money, no denying that, but the question is that how much are you willing to work for it?

9. What motivates me?
What motivates you? It’s an answer you have to find out for yourself. There are so many things that can make everyone happy, but to choose one of the may be the hardest part. It’s not like you can’t have one serving of your favorite food in a buffet and that’s it. Just try it piece by piece.

10. What Really Makes You Tick?
So? What really makes you tick? You can be just about anything you always wanted to be, but to realize that attaining something that may seem very difficult is already giving up before you even start that journey. Always remember, that self-improvement is not just about the physical or philosophical change you have to undergo, but it’s something that you really want.

Weโ€™ve all heard amazing stories of rags to riches stories, people whoโ€™ve turned their lives around and went from zero to hero. Yet, even as we marvel at their success, we never think that we are capable of such ourselves. It is such negative thinking that keeps us at our low-paying jobs, stuck in our crappy little apartments and in our mediocre lives. But we can change our lives, simply by harnessing the power of our minds, specifically the power of positive thinking.

Like all things in life, learning to turn negative thoughts into positive ones will take time, but the process itself is really quite simple.

โ€ข Stay fit and healthy. A healthy mind needs a healthy body to reside in. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is one the fundamental ways to stay positive without any psychological involvement. Regular exercise is scientifically proven to elevate mood and reduce stress. A healthy diet is also essential โ€“ make sure you fuel your body with the right foods.

โ€ข Use positive affirmations. Many of us are our own worst enemies, constantly pulling ourselves down with negative self-talk. Encourage yourself with daily positive affirmations and drown out the voice of negativity.

โ€ข Choose your company well. Negativity, like positivity is contagious. Surround yourself with positive people who support you and avoid those who sap your energy and motivation with their relentless negativity.

โ€ข Smile! The simple act of smiling is physically proven to help you stay positive and make you happier Allow yourself to be open to humor, share a laugh with a neighbor or smile at the cashier when she rings up your purchases. Youโ€™ll be surprised at how good itโ€™ll make you feel.

Practice these simple steps everyday and eventually you will find yourself breaking away from the chains of negativity. Start changing your life today๐Ÿ˜‰

Morning Prayer ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

Father, You know all of my thoughts and the attitudes of my heart. May my spoken words and unspoken thoughts be pleasing in Your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. 

You gave me Your Word as a weapon to fight impure and unholy thoughts. Your Word is alive and more powerful than any weapon known to man; it is able to pull down all evil strongholds. 

I will concentrate on truth, goodness, and righteousness. I will think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the good attributes in others. I will think about all that I can praise You for and be glad about. 

I thank You for giving me the helmet of salvation to guard my mind. As I commit to stay in Your Word daily, I will begin to think more and more like You, Father. I will diligently guard my mind and heart by not allowing unhealthy thoughts to control me. 

Thank You for giving me the mind of Christ. Help me to make all my thoughts obedient to Jesus, the Word.
