Happy Tuesday, how easy is it for you to say ’Yes’ to happiness?😃

Here are a few tips to help if you need a little boost👇🏾 don’t forget the 1st 3 tips in a previous blog post! 💞

4️⃣Listen To Your Feelings: All feelings are good. Every feeling occurs for a reason: it is delivering a message. Sometimes that message is pleasant, other times not. Our tendency is to distract ourselves from unpleasant feelings, often through smoking, drinking or drugs of one kind or another. When you feel bad, avoid distracting yourself, and identify the reason—there is some need not being met.

5️⃣Give Of Yourself: The more you give, the more you receive. There is probably no scientific study proving this to be so, but unconditional giving is hugely rewarding. It seems that the more of yourself you give, the greater the thrill and uplifting effect on your psyche. Help the needy. Give time if you can. Give anonymously, even if you lose the tax deduction!

6️⃣Make It Happen: You have the ability to make things happen using your mind. Top sports stars, and business people use it, and so can you. There are many ways of doing this; one of the common methods is to use visualization—getting a picture in your mind of whatever it is that you want to happen. It does not actually have to be a visual picture; it could be a feeling, a smell, a sound, or any combination of the senses. Imagine finding the perfect parking near the entrance as you arrive at the supermarket or mall … the sky is the limit, but persevere! We are not used to utilizing this tool, so it takes practice.

7️⃣Accept The Things You Cannot Change: We resist things we don’t like, and often expend a tremendous amount of energy on this resistance. Whilst this can be good, and has resulted in tremendous advances through history, we should work to understand those things we cannot change, and then move on. Rather use the saved energy on something more worthwhile and productive. This is not to say that you should complacently accept anything. If you truly desire change, you should work towards that change; but spending time worrying about something without actively working to change it is unproductive and damaging to your wellbeing.

🔹Positive thinking, self-growth, thinking yourself to success – so much has been said about these subjects, but is it really achievable? The truth is that the power of our minds to influence our actions cannot be underestimated.

🔷Not everybody believes or accepts the power of positive thinking. But there is undeniable truth that negative thoughts, words and attitudes bring up negative and unhappy moods and actions. Negativity breeds more negativity, a vicious, never-ending cycle that can only lead to failure, frustration and disappointment. Conversely, positive thinking will do the exact opposite; positive thoughts can only beget positive actions, leading to a happier, healthier, more successful life.

🔹So how do we move beyond positive thinking towards positive living?

🔹The first step is always to decide that you can be a more positive person. Many people cannot even move beyond this first step, coming up with all sorts of excuses (“I’m stuck in a lousy job”, “I’m never going to have a successful long-term relationship”, etc.) as to why they cannot be more positive. But, know this, no matter what your life is like, choosing to be more positive is entirely your choice to make.

🔹Next, you need to commit 100% to the idea of positive thinking and positive living at all times. Now this is harder than simply choosing to be positive. This commitment requires you to remain positive even when things seem to be going wrong in every possible way. But the truth is that the most successful people are those who are able to commit and persevere and ultimately move beyond mere thinking towards the life they have always wanted.

🔹Positive thinking requires commitment, persistence and hard work. But once you’ve trained your mind to habitually remove all negative thoughts and replace them with positive ones, you will find yourself in a better position to achieve the success, happiness and wealth you’ve always dreamt of.

To have positive results you have to have a positive attitude, there is no way that a negative person will achieve positive results. Acting positive gives you hope for a better outcome, you cannot underestimate the power of positive thinking.

Having a positive attitude eliminates all the feelings of self-pity that will cause you to stop trying in whatever thing you are trying to achieve. Acting positive whilst in competition with other people is an intimidation to your fellow competitors whether it is in school, in class or even just your local weight loss challenge in your neighborhood.

When you always act in a certain way for a long period of time that action starts to embed in your personality, what needed a lot of effort in doing will turn out to become a reflex action that comes naturally.

Always attempting to be positive may be difficult at first because that small internal voice will be telling you that you cannot do it but the more you stick to having a positive attitude and being positive even in negative circumstances it will get easier and it will eventually become part of your personality.

Most people mostly feel negative early in the morning as soon as they wake up and realize they have a long hectic day ahead of them, they automatically feel challenged and helpless that is the perfect moment to incorporate your positive attitude.

Each morning you wake and assure yourself that it will be a good day and that you have total control over your happiness. You might not have control over what happens throughout the day but you have control over your reaction to what will happen.

Although your day may not turn out to be what you had wished for instead of becoming annoyed or even angry with yourself and feeling like you failed you just relax and know that there is another opportunity to try again tomorrow, incorporating these positive changes in your life every day and controlling the way you react to every situation around you may at first be just an act of being positive but after sometime you will realize that you are not acting anymore but you actually always keep a positive attitude.

🔅Words and statements have to power to build or destroy. But it is how you use them that gives them the capacity to do good or do harm. One example of this is through the use of affirmations, statements which describe a desired condition or outcome, and which are repeated often. The repetition of affirmations automatically and involuntarily bring up related mental images in the mind, which then influence the subconscious mind and transforms our behaviour, habits and actions accordingly.

The use of positive affirmations can motivate us, keeping your mind focused on the goal that you are trying to achieve. By influencing our subconscious mind, they have the power to change the way you think and behave. Also, being positive statements, they can make you more energetic and active, thereby putting you in a better position to transform your inner and outer worlds.

In order for your affirmations to be most effective, they should be self-developed and written in the present tense, i.e. “I am” not “I will be”. Affirm with love, faith and conscious intent and believe that your desire has already been fulfilled. Some examples of affirmations are as follows:

• It is easy and simple to achieve success.

• Success loves me and always seeks me.

• All the systems of my body are functioning perfectly.

• My body is infused with the energy of health.

• I am letting happiness manifest in my life.

• I deserve to be happy right now.

Set aside a special time during the day for repeating them to yourself. Write them down or repeat them in your mind wherever you are and whenever you have the time. It is natural for negativity to cloud your mind, especially if your current environment is unfavorable, but persevere, and you will be able to conquer your negative thoughts and doubts.

So girl change those negative thoughts about yourself, you deserve better my dear…💋

Beauty holds a golden mirror to the shimmering inner essence. It reflects true self-perception as well as the extent of one’s discipline.

Attractiveness indicates a sensitivity to those around us. Just as we shine our shoes, wash our cars or trim our lawns to provide “eye-candy” to passers-by, we keep our bodies in the pink of health to offer delightful icons worthy of emulation.

I believe that beauty is not trivial; it is core to civilized society. Imagine everyone abandoning restraint and shuffling around in tattered clothes, drooping bellies, dishevelled hair, blackened fingernails and breath so foul only a mother could love? No one would be happy- except the mouthwash manufacturers. Those who shun beauty as superficial are probably too lazy to reach for a bar of soap or the jump rope.

But, beautiful people are not necessarily supermodels with Greek-god faces and unreal proportions. That is a myth promulgated by sneaky salesmen of snakeoil creams and dangerous bust implants. Let them slather that muck on their faces 24/7. Then, I’d believe them. 😂👀

Beautiful people are Normal people who watch their diet, keep their bodies clean, and don tasteful, yet inexpensive clothing. They maintain an empowered lifestyle, indulge in mind-expanding books and engage in varied activity that enriches their awareness.

Beauty, more importantly, is internal. The attractive assert their opinions and fight for convictions. Whether handsome or pretty, bland or plain, the internally beautiful betray an intelligence and burning diligence that reflects their personality. Recall that personality is molded by how we carry ourselves and associate with the world at large.

Finally, beauty is holistic. Magnetic people take effort to be the best that they can be. They understand that they are fusions of body, soul and spirit. Hence, they build up each facet by honing their talents and passions. They may have ordinary faces but lead extraordinary lives. These exceptional people are the best humanity can offer; they easily outshine the empty-headed Greek Models of the catwalk.

Augmenting beauty simply means caring of the body and the mind. It doesn’t take much effort, just a tad of self regulation. Here’s how to ooze magnetic attraction:

1. Books and periodicals are your best friend. Beef up what’s in your head and rack up more beauty points with your enlightened discussions. Intelligence is attractive.💪🏾

2. Watch stand-up comedy. You will develop your sense of humour. Wit is a rare and valued commodity.😂

3. Is that a burger you’re shovelling down your throat? Stop. You are literally what you eat. Want to be a lard bucket? Then chomp that burger.

4. Soap, shampoo and mouthwash are better than all the pheromone sprays, libido enhancers and failed nose lifts. Good hygiene is the honey that attracts the delightful bees.

5. Dress to impress- 24/7. You probably had one of those moments. There you were, in sloppy coveralls at the mall. Then you run into the boss or a beautiful stranger. Say this with me: “NEVER AGAIN.” One more time. “NEVER AGAIN.”

6. Ask and Listen. The most dazzling conversationalists avoid monopolizing conversations. Rather, they ask tons of questions…. And listen for hours on end. Stop and think about that. Isn’t your best friend a great listener?

7. Finally, think sexy. Feel sexy. You are what you think you are. Your body follows what the mind dictates. The $3000 executive coaches like to pass this astounding piece of common sense for a hefty fee. Save the money.

So, get out there and glow. You can be attractive without those creams, lotions and surgeons.

How many of you journal? If not why not? Journaling can be very beneficial to your healing and it gives you a chance to write all those negative thoughts on paper 📝 instead of being stuck inside your brain causing stress!😣

I love to journal and love coming up with different questions to ask myself, then I come back to my journals to see if my answers have changed…you know to see my growth!
