โฃ๏ธI know it’s easier said than done, but being alone is ok? Stop jumping into relationships because you can’t stand the loneliness!

Here are 4 Tips to help combat the lonely days.

Use these steps to help you stop feeling the need for companionship. ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿพ

๐Ÿ’žGet Comfortable Being Alone

Enjoy your own company. Take time out to get to know yourself better. Write a journal and chart your thoughts and feelings when you are feeling lonely. Take yourself out on dates, be it for a dinner at a nice restaurant or a movie that youโ€™ve been waiting to see. Once you are comfortable with your own company, other people are more likely to enjoy spending time with you as well.

๐Ÿ’žGet Animal Companionship ๐Ÿถ(my fav)

Thereโ€™s nothing quite like having a dog waiting for you by the door when you get home, or a cat purring on your pillow. Animals make marvellous companions โ€“ they love unconditionally and are unfailingly loyal. Walking your dog can be a great way to meet new people as well. Smaller animals such as hamsters or geckos can also make you feel needed if you do not want to commit to getting a dog or cat.

๐Ÿ’žGet Out of the House

Get out of the house when you can instead of allowing yourself to wallow in loneliness.Go outside, get some fresh air, go to the mall, the park or even just the grocery store. Make an effort to speak to at least someone, even if itโ€™s only a sales assistant.

๐Ÿ’žGet Involved in a Local Cause

Are you concerned about the environment? Passionate about inner-city education? Volunteer your time and skills at the local library, civic organization, or charitable foundation. Helping others will make you feel good about yourself, occupy your mind, and stop you from thinking about how alone you are. Having a shared interest is also a great way to develop new friendships.

Now…all of these tips I have actually used before I met my hubby! I learned so much about myself during this time!

Pain may sometimes be the reason why people change. Getting flunked grades make us realize that we need to study. Debts remind us of our inability to look for a source of income. Being humiliated gives us the โ€˜pushโ€™ to speak up and fight for ourselves to save our face from the next embarrassments. It may be a bitter experience, a friendโ€™s tragic story, a great movie, or an inspiring book that will help us get up and get just the right amount of motivation we need in order to improve ourselves.

With the countless negativities the world brings about, how do we keep motivated? Try on the tips I prepared from A to Zโ€ฆ

A – Achieve your dreams. Avoid negative people, things and places. Eleanor Roosevelt once said, โ€œthe future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.โ€

B – Believe in your self, and in what you can do.

C โ€“ Consider things on every angle and aspect. Motivation comes from determination. To be able to understand life, you should feel the sun from both sides.

D โ€“ Donโ€™t give up and donโ€™t give in. Thomas Edison failed once, twice, more than thrice before he came up with his invention and perfected the incandescent light bulb. Make motivation as your steering wheel.

E โ€“ Enjoy. Work as if you donโ€™t need money. Dance as if nobodyโ€™s watching. Love as if you never cried. Learn as if youโ€™ll live forever. Motivation takes place when people are happy.

F โ€“ Family and Friends โ€“ are lifeโ€™s greatest โ€˜Fโ€™ treasures. Donโ€™t loose sight of them.

G โ€“ Give more than what is enough. Where does motivation and self improvement take place at work? At home? At school? When you exert extra effort in doing things.

H โ€“ Hang on to your dreams. They may dangle in there for a moment, but these little stars will be your driving force.

I โ€“ Ignore those who try to destroy you. Donโ€™t let other people to get the best of you. Stay out of toxic people โ€“ the kind of friends who hates to hear about your success.

J โ€“ Just be yourself. The key to success is to be yourself. And the key to failure is to try to please everyone.

K โ€“ keep trying no matter how hard life may seem. When a person is motivated, eventually he sees a harsh life finally clearing out, paving the way to self improvement.

L โ€“ Learn to love your self. Now isnโ€™t that easy?

M โ€“ Make things happen. Motivation is when your dreams are put into work clothes.

N โ€“ Never lie, cheat or steal. Always play a fair game.

O โ€“ Open your eyes. People should learn the horse attitude and horse sense. They see things in 2 ways โ€“ how they want things to be, and how they should be.

P โ€“ Practice makes perfect. Practice is about motivation. It lets us learn repertoire and ways on how can we recover from our mistakes.

Q โ€“ Quitters never win. And winners never quit. So, choose your fate โ€“ are you going to be a quitter? Or a winner?

R โ€“ Ready yourself. Motivation is also about preparation. We must hear the little voice within us telling us to get started before others will get on their feet and try to push us around. Remember, it wasnโ€™t raining when Noah build the ark.

S โ€“ Stop procrastinating.

T โ€“ Take control of your life. Discipline or self control jives synonymously with motivation. Both are key factors in self improvement.

U โ€“ Understand others. If you know very well how to talk, you should also learn how to listen. Yearn to understand first, and to be understood the second.

V โ€“ Visualize it. Motivation without vision is like a boat on a dry land.

W โ€“ Want it more than anything. Dreaming means believing. And to believe is something that is rooted out from the roots of motivation and self improvement.

X โ€“ X Factor is what will make you different from the others. When you are motivated, you tend to put on โ€œextrasโ€ on your life like extra time for family, extra help at work, extra care for friends, and so on.

Y โ€“ You are unique. No one in this world looks, acts, or talks like you. Value your life and existence, because youโ€™re just going to spend it once.

Z โ€“ Zero in on your dreams and go for it!!! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ

Do You Have A Plan of Action?

You say youโ€™re ready to #upgradeyourlife but do you have an action plan do so?

Here are some simple tips to see those New Years goal through๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿพ

๐Ÿ”…A plan of action is crucial to your success. Without a plan it is merely a thought. When you add your thoughts to paper coupled with a desire to see them become realities and proceed to do everything possible to fulfill that desire you have a template for success.

๐Ÿ’ซ Your first step is to write down what exactly it is you desire. Albeit wealth, personal development or whatever you so strongly yearn for that you simply can no longer go without, write it down. Make your desires realistic. For example, if your desire is to lose 20 pounds, it is unrealistic to believe you can lose 20 pounds in 3 days. However, it is possible to lose 20 pounds in 3 months with a proper plan of action. It is important to note that there should be a time frame with regards to your plan. These time frames are the milestones to marking your achievements.

๐Ÿ’ซNow that you know what your specific desire is, list the ways in which you plan on achieving optimum results. How do I plan to lose these 20 pounds? What do I have to do each day in order to achieve my goal? What do I personally need to do to see this plan come to fruition?

๐Ÿ’ซSet up a schedule outlining each step that needs to be taken daily to achieve weekly goals. Be specific. Create a daily “to do” list. At the end of the week you will be able to see how much you were able to accomplish. Congratulate yourself for each accomplishment.

๐Ÿ’ซMake a commitment to yourself to “Work the Plan”. Stay focused on the positive. List all the reasons why you will be able to achieve your objective. Utilize the strengths you possess that will help you to complete your plan.

๐Ÿ’ซKnow your weaknesses and make a concerted effort to overcome them. Incorporate both your strengths and weakness into your plan of action. Know what you are capable of and know what your shortcomings are.

Have your own personal reward system in place. Know what each reward will be for each accomplishment that you have fulfilled throughout your plan. With every desired result you achieve there should be a reward for having done so. An incentive plan customized to your wants.

Do not let yourself get disheartened. If you have a temporary lapse or deviation from the plan acknowledge it and continue to move forward with your plan. Keep the pedal to the metal or your nose to the grindstone, just keep on taking action. Remember, this is not a race to the finish line. Your plan is your future. Take the time to nurture and understand it.

We’ve all heard the adage “Rome was not built in a day”. Your success regarding your plan of action will not be achieved in one day either. Success is a process and the process is something you have a long-term plan for.

“You and only you can determine if the reward is worth the price you are paying for it in effort”.
