Positive body image is important to establish, especially early on in life, so the psychological stressors of negative body image cannot take their toll.

We either think we’re too fat, too skinny, or we’re just confused all together.

I myself have felt for a long time that I didn’t like my body only because I compared my body to women I saw on social media….yeah right crazy 😝

Here I was about 3 years ago so upset about my weight but wasn’t doing anything about it. Yes, you think only teenage girls fall victim to feeling this way, but in reality it’s just as common in older women as well.

Being negative about your body can cause you to have low esteem. We have to learn how to be positive about our bodies.

Being positive about the way you look is great, but just not enough; learning to be positive about your appearance, health and well-being is what should define body positivity.

Take care of your body from the inside then out, having a different body won’t change your mindset. Having a better body won’t change what’s aching in your heart.

So have you looked in the mirror lately?

What do you see? How do you feel about your body?

Don’t let your mental health fool you into thinking that you have to look like what society says you do.

Remember God created you the way you are, so take care of your body by watching what you put into it!

It is critical to love yourself at every stage in life and establish this before any type of transformation occurs.

Let’s Be Aware of The Signs…💚

You don’t feel like doing anything, even the things you normally enjoy.

There has been a change in your appetite: eating more than or less than normal.

You feel exhausted all the time.

You feel more stressed than normal; things that normally wouldn’t stress you out are.

You are much more irritable and grumpy.

Your thoughts have been more negative and you’re having trouble being positive.

You feel down/sad.

You feel guilty or shameful for feeling the way you do.

You’ve stopped doing things you normally do: make-up, hair, brushing your teeth, etc.

There has been a big life change in your life.

👍🏾Don’t be afraid to seek help…you are not weak..

Your Morning Prayer 🙏🏾

Precious Lord, I know You want this for me. I want this for me. Help me to retrain my thoughts and reframe my perspective. I marvel at how often my thoughts take me downward. But like an eagle that soars in the sky, You call me to set my sights on things above. I need supernatural help with this! Fill me afresh with a strong sense of Your presence and Your peace. Help me to remember the great things You have done. May I one day marvel at how my thoughts reflect a heart and mind that are healed and whole, just like You always intended them to be. Do a miracle in me, Lord. In Your Name, I pray. Amen.

If it gets hard and you can’t seem to hold on, please go to God in prayer!

Prayer has done wonderful things for my mental health, this week I’m struggling really bad with my thoughts but I know I can get back on the right track soon.

I constantly ask God to change these awful thoughts! Wishing and hoping the same for those of you who are struggling as well.
