Monday Motivation….

As you arrange your goal, you need to see to it that they stick with the principles below. These are what will guide you to decide the right goals so that you might pursue them.

1. Assure congruency with your life purpose.

Your goals have to be specified in the context of your life purpose. Everything in your life ought to be in line with your purpose. Your purpose is the focus for everything in your life.

If your goals and your purpose are not congruous with one another, it either connotes:

a) Your goals are not in line with what you wish to achieve. If so, review them to perceive your central motives for listing them

b) You’ve limited the definition of your purpose. If this is the case, try to build on the definition of your purpose.

Do you realize what your purpose is? By differentiating your purpose, you then have absolute clarity on your direction and focus in life. The last thing you need to do is to spend your whole life trying to grow apples when you truly wanted oranges.

2. Assure your goal is an 80/20 goal.

How much does this goal interest you? Is this goal a fundamental goal in your life – in other words, an 80/20 goal? Your 80/20 goal refers to the 20 percent of goals which when achieved, will give you 80 percent of the collective happiness from achieving all your goals. What are these 20% goals, which really interest you? These are what you should begin centering on.

3. Grasp your motives.

Have you ever had an experience where you pursued a goal totally, only to distinguish you never truly required it? There are a few basic symptoms, which come out when you don’t truly wish a particular goal: like self-sabotaging yourself in your goal quest, losing interest during the goal achievement process, feeling hollow after the goal has been achieved.

As you ascertain your goal, be unclouded on your fundamental motives. Your goal should be something that you truly wish, and not what others wish for you. How come you need this goal? Is it for you or for others? What will you achieve out of getting this goal? Being clear on your fundamental wants will drive you ahead in the times when you face obstructions.

If you find yourself setting a goal, which isn’t what you truly wish but what others wish you to accomplish, it’s a sign that you’re chasing imposed purposes -purposes placed on you by others around you. It’s the opposite of freeing purposes – purposes that are live creations by you and your cognizance.

🔅 Get organized—Being prepared and organized, can help you feel better about your ability to reach your goals. Having information scattered in too many places makes you feel out of control and undermines motivation.

🔅 Don’t procrastinate—Procrastination is a form of self-regulatory failure.The old saying, “Never put off until tomorrow what you can do today” is one you should live by. If you do this too often, your “tomorrow” may never come, and you’ll never reach your goal.🤷🏽‍♀️

🔅Remember that willpower is a limited resource—Think of willpower as a muscle. If you don’t use the muscle and exercise it, it becomes weaker and weaker. The more you use your willpower, the stronger it will become, just like a muscle does. If you don’t use it, eventually, you may lose it.

🔅Keep a positive attitude—There is nothing more powerful for self-motivation than the right attitude. You can’t choose or control your circumstance but can choose your attitude towards your circumstances.😃

It does not mean you have to find a new love almost immediately but just get out there and have fun.❣️Redefine Your GoalsWhen starting anew, it is best to change everything starting from what you want to achieve in life (yet again). Failure can be tough to handle but dwelling on it is the worst. Set up a new business but attempt at goals that is different from before – wanting to retrace your steps can be tougher so why not set out differently instead.❣️Let Go (my fav)Hanging on the past will never get you anywhere and sometimes, you can never really move on unless you are ready to let all your feelings go. Burdening yourself with thoughts of the past is a waste of precious time and before you know it, you have been robbed of viable years.❣️Rehabilitate Your Mind And BodySubject to therapy if you have to but definitely, you need to work on your muscles and brain activity to get things started again. ❣️ Seek Spiritual Advice

Religion or no religion, following and listening to a higher being will lead you to a better path. At times when everything seems so lost, the only thing that can fill in the void are words that are beyond compare.

Monday Motivation Goal Setting Tips👇🏾

📝 If you knew that you could achieve anything you wanted to, maybe get that job that you always thought was slightly out of your reach or find and build that wonderful new relationship which has remained somehow elusive, that would be amazing wouldn’t it?

☺️Keep the thought positive. Don’t get annoyed with yourself for not using the resources before. Focusing on a negative energy will probably prevent you from moving forwards. Focus on what it is that you actually want, the outcome you desire.

📝All you need is motivation and goal setting.

Goal setting and performance

Goal setting improves performance when:

– Goals are specific

– Goals are difficult

– Goals are Challenging

– Goals are Attainable

– Goals are participatively set

– Goals are most often for individuals, but may also be team/group based

In order to stay motivated, observe the following:

1. Identify your Values, Beliefs and Desires

•Draft a list of your values, beliefs and desires. Take time to think about the interrelations of the items.The list should be a source of motivation and must help you achieve goals you have set. The quality and depth of your motivation is directly related to your commitment. You must be sure that you can live up to reach the goal you have set.Taking this for granted could lead to frustration that could diminish your motivation. 2. Do a Self-Assessment

•Do an informal assessment of your existing abilities. Have a reflection on what you know about yourself. Accuracy and honesty is essential at this point. Underestimation or overestimation would result from inaccurate assessment of one’s abilities.

•If you already have an assessment of your strengths and weaknesses and you know what you value and desire, it is now possible to establish personal goals.

All goals should incorporate these common attributes:

A. Realistic

Goal setting should be realistic. The goals set should be based on your existing abilities and circumstances.

B. Possible

Remember not to establish goals that would make the realistic, unrealistic.

C. Flexible

Always anticipate obstacles along the way and learn how to move around them.

D. Measurable

Have a time frame so you would know if you have reached your goal.

E. Under Control

Remember to set your goals based on your own values and beliefs. Target goals where it is possible for you to control the outcome.

3. Role of Personal Circumstance

•You should be in a position to be able to act on the goals you have set. Failure to consider your personal circumstances would impair your motivation and goal setting.

Changing circumstances always influences goals. If your circumstances change but your goals doesn’t adapt it could undermine your motivation.

People are often unwilling to adapt and adjust to the situation. It is hard for them to adjust their self-expectations. There are times when people can get frustrated and lose their motivation.

Motivation and goal setting can be maintained if you would take into account your personal circumstance.

Redefining goals is very important to remain motivated and stay on the path to success.

4. Breeding Success

•Personal circumstance, motivation and goal setting affect the outcome of success.

If you failed to reach any of these steps, your motivation will diminish, you would fail to work up to your abilities, and this would dampen your chances of success.

Do You Have A Plan of Action?

You say you’re ready to #upgradeyourlife but do you have an action plan do so?

Here are some simple tips to see those New Years goal through👇🏾

🔅A plan of action is crucial to your success. Without a plan it is merely a thought. When you add your thoughts to paper coupled with a desire to see them become realities and proceed to do everything possible to fulfill that desire you have a template for success.

💫 Your first step is to write down what exactly it is you desire. Albeit wealth, personal development or whatever you so strongly yearn for that you simply can no longer go without, write it down. Make your desires realistic. For example, if your desire is to lose 20 pounds, it is unrealistic to believe you can lose 20 pounds in 3 days. However, it is possible to lose 20 pounds in 3 months with a proper plan of action. It is important to note that there should be a time frame with regards to your plan. These time frames are the milestones to marking your achievements.

💫Now that you know what your specific desire is, list the ways in which you plan on achieving optimum results. How do I plan to lose these 20 pounds? What do I have to do each day in order to achieve my goal? What do I personally need to do to see this plan come to fruition?

💫Set up a schedule outlining each step that needs to be taken daily to achieve weekly goals. Be specific. Create a daily “to do” list. At the end of the week you will be able to see how much you were able to accomplish. Congratulate yourself for each accomplishment.

💫Make a commitment to yourself to “Work the Plan”. Stay focused on the positive. List all the reasons why you will be able to achieve your objective. Utilize the strengths you possess that will help you to complete your plan.

💫Know your weaknesses and make a concerted effort to overcome them. Incorporate both your strengths and weakness into your plan of action. Know what you are capable of and know what your shortcomings are.

Have your own personal reward system in place. Know what each reward will be for each accomplishment that you have fulfilled throughout your plan. With every desired result you achieve there should be a reward for having done so. An incentive plan customized to your wants.

Do not let yourself get disheartened. If you have a temporary lapse or deviation from the plan acknowledge it and continue to move forward with your plan. Keep the pedal to the metal or your nose to the grindstone, just keep on taking action. Remember, this is not a race to the finish line. Your plan is your future. Take the time to nurture and understand it.

We’ve all heard the adage “Rome was not built in a day”. Your success regarding your plan of action will not be achieved in one day either. Success is a process and the process is something you have a long-term plan for.

“You and only you can determine if the reward is worth the price you are paying for it in effort”.

Wipe Out What’s Holding You Back From Achieving Those Goals👇🏾☺️

Life is nothing but an obstacle course, its all about getting through that obstacle course *successfully* to your desired goal that most people seem to have a problem with.

And it’s only normal to encounter these obstacles in the pursuit of your goal.

It’s kind of a test to see if your worthy.

However, when these obstacles start to become a nuisance to the point of almost putting a stop to your goal(s); or worse, making one completely abandon his/her goal, one must take action and think things through.

So, with that said, here are some helpful, tested pointers that will keep your attention focused in achieving any goal that you put your mind to.

🔅Step #1. Think positive.

This means: Do not quit. Especially when one is midway in working for a goal, there should be no room for quitting.

To quit is tantamount to going back to the starting line of goal accomplishment. That is time, energy, money, and a whole lot of things wasted and lost. It is more costly to quit than to find a solution to the problem, not to mention the frustration one feels.

🔅Step #2. Keep a clear, open and tense-free mind.

Always be ready to receive new ideas. Focus and concentrate. Think on a wide scale manner and always be open for options(even unconventional ones) to eliminate the particular obstacle you are currently dealing with.

🔱Step #3. Persist and Persevere.

Be sure to exhaust every possibility, even to the point of trial and error, just to be sure that there is a solution to correct the problem your dealing with.

🔅Step #4. Simulate.

Try to picture inside your head a possible solution to help overcome and/or solve the obstacle that’s setting you back.

🔅Step #5. Get assistance.

If all fails get assistance from other you know who are more knowledgeable on the work being done. They may be able to help you or not. Their suggestions might not necessarily be the right or exact ones you were hoping to hear, but they may trigger some NEW ideas in finding the right solution to your problem.

Those are the basic 5 steps to overcoming any obstacle that’s holding you back.

But… before I go I’d like you to consider this scenario as an example.

Let’s say you thought of a COOL new product and you are confident and excited that this product will be sellable to your target market once it hits the market.

You then go tell a friend about it, but your friend says that your product would be waste of time and money.

Your friend also tells you why it will be such a flop and gives your their reason why as follows:

“If your product idea is to be a success, how come nobody else is doing it?”

Does this sound familiar?

With that being said you decide that your friend is right and forget about your new product idea because of your friend’s comment.

This exact scenario happens all the time all over the world.

Don’t fall victim to this.

You are your own person with your own opinions and beliefs.

Though it is good to hear other peoples opinions and their reasons, what really matters the most is yours in the end based on the information you have received and researched.

So the lesson here is, be firm in your beliefs and follow your heart and minds desire.

You just never know what the outcome might be.

Be all you can be, do all you can do this year!!!!

Are You Ready To Make and Keep Your New Years Resolutions? 👇🏾🥂

t’s time for that annual ritual of making (and breaking) our New Year’s resolutions. There is something about the idea of being able to start over that motivates us to pause (at least briefly) and reflect on our lives as they are, as well as how we would like them to be. Yet how many times have you thought back to last year’s goals and found that many or most of them were abandoned or just forgotten after a few weeks or months into the year?

Many of us have difficulty following through on our resolutions due to factors such as choosing unrealistic goals, not making them challenging enough and/or lacking the necessary motivation to stick with them. The following tips should help put you on the right course and assist you in staying committed to your most important goals for 2019.

🔅Start with a life vision

If you don’t know what you want your future to look like, how can you decide what areas of your life need to be worked on? Spend some quiet time TODAY reflecting on (and writing down) what is good, bad or incomplete. Then try to see your life if all of these areas were addressed and had become satisfactory to you.

🔅Get organized (my fav one) 😉

Clear away clutter. Go through paperwork, files, old bills and receipts, closets, drawers and storage containers. Decide what you need and will use and either throw out or give away all the rest. Put aside some time each week for this purpose. After you have cleaned out you can think about your existing systems for management and storage and see if these need reworking or just some fine-tuning. Keep ONE calendar to record all appointments, events, etc. Write down everything- don’t rely on memory.

🔅Expand your horizons and make a commitment to learning something new.

Challenging yourself will infuse you with greater energy and sense of purpose. It will help build your self-esteem to realize you really are capable of more than you had previously believed. This new learning can also give you additional resources to assist you in your career, personal or love life.

🔅Set challenging but realistic resolutions

Choose goals that stretch your ability muscles, yet are realistic and therefore less vulnerable to failure. Don’t respond to that negative inner voice that says; oh, I’m not capable of that. Instead, focus on what you truly desire for your life and relationships and let this be your guide.

🔅Write down your resolutions

Write them down and stick them on your bathroom mirror, your fridge, your car dashboard, your desk or wherever you know will be a good place for you to see them. You can also show them to a good friend, family member, your coach or anyone who could provide support and encouragement.

🔅Create action steps for each resolution; write them down, and keep an accounting of your progress for each.

A resolution without planned action is doomed to failure. Break each goal down into small action steps or objectives. Putting a date for completion will help ensure you follow through. Come up with an accountability system that will work for you. Make sure you check off each accomplishment as you go and be flexible and willing to make adjustments in your action steps in order to achieve your desired end results.

🔅Take care of yourself; eat well. Exercise regularly and learn to control and eliminate unhealthy stress.

I know this is an obvious one, so why is it often ignored or overlooked when we are attempting to make important life changes? How many times have you said, I don’t have the time to eat right, exercise, sleep adequately, etc? Not caring for yourself will guarantee failure. So, why not make this your first and most important resolution for 2019?

🔅Work to eliminate bad habits

Including this as a New Year’s resolution would put you on the road to good follow-through. Bad habits will sabotage your efforts and use up your limited resources of time, energy and focus. For each bad habit you decide to eliminate, have a good habit in mind to replace it with.

🔅Set appropriate and healthy limits in all areas of your life

Knowing your limits and enforcing them with yourself and others is a prerequisite to a healthy life and relationship. Learn to say no and enough and be firm in your resolve that this is a good thing to do. Otherwise, you will also be undermining your resolution to take care of yourself.

🔅Work to be the kind of person you want to be with

Bringing out the best qualities in yourself will help to ensure that you attract people of good quality into your life. You wouldn’t want to compromise on the standards you have set for a potential mate. Therefore, it’s important to understand that this also holds true for other people in search of relationships.

Now begin the new year with the resolve to be the person you know you have the potential to be. You’ll be pleased with the wonderful changes that await you!

💁🏽‍♀️Are you ready to release your potential but feel like something is holding you back, hopefully these quick smart tips can help you out👇🏾💫Be honest with yourself about your skills and abilities. Most of us underestimate how many things we do well. Figure out your skills & abilities, and look for ways to incorporate them into your life & work.

💫Listen to compliments. Use the feedback to help you identify your strengths and abilities. If it’s tough for you to recognize your strengths on your own, let others help you.

💫Exercise at least 3-4 times a week for 20-30 minutes. Exercise gives you more positive energy, dissipates negative energy and builds your confidence.

💫Realize that you were given certain gifts, talents and abilities for a reason. You are supposed to use them!

💫Watch out for self-sabotage. Sometimes, it’s easy to believe that success & happiness are meant for other people, not for us. Thus, we do activities that keep us from being successful (we procrastinate on positive tasks, we stay in negative relationships that bring us down, we develop addictions, etc.) Are you self-sabotaging?🤷🏽‍♀️
