Break Through Self-Doubt and Fear…Tuesday Tips

Happy Tuesday friends...as you go about your week, remember not to let self-doubt and fear creep into your life as you go about trying to accomplish your goals or healing process.

Self-doubt and fear interfere with our ability to achieve or set goals. Self-doubt and fear are the voices in our head telling us, “You’ll never succeed, so why try?” and “who do you think you are?” Self-doubt and fear are also what make us listen to those voices and decide to give up before we get started. (don’t let this be you)

While many people experience self-doubt and fear at some point in their lives, they take action anyway. Others remain stuck or are confident in only one area of their life, such as work. They are too afraid to try new things like going back to school, entering new relationships or learning new skills.

When we let self-doubt and fear rule our lives, we miss opportunities. We predict and believe that nothing good will happen to us, so we don’t try anything new, and refuse to take even low-level risks. This leads us to discount people or situations that could help us reach our goals. While self-doubt and fear can come in different forms and from different sources, we can learn to break through them.

I struggled with self-doubt for years as a child, a teen, also throughout my adult life. Fear kept me from pursuing so goals and dreams I wanted to accomplish.

This resulted in me never being my true self, so it was hard to step out of my shell, although I’m a very outgoing person I let fear and doubt rob me from my best life. Not anymore…๐Ÿ˜Š

Today I have a successful cleaning and new mentoring business. I have close friends, and a wonderful son and grandson. Learning from my life and others, I'm raising him to believe in himself, understand his feelings, and not be afraid of his fears. You too can learn to let go of your fears in order to live your best life by using these simple tips I provide here below:๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿพ
If you need help overcoming feelings of self-doubt and fear, please read these ten techniques and processes that have helped me get to this place in my life.

1๏ธโƒฃ Make a list of your fears. Only by admitting that they exist can you seek solutions.

2๏ธโƒฃ Write down how these fears affect your life.

3๏ธโƒฃ Become aware of the voices in your head and write down those negative messages.

4๏ธโƒฃ Start building a support system of friends and eliminate people from your life who foster feelings of negativity.

5๏ธโƒฃ Join a support group of people who have similar issues.

6๏ธโƒฃ Change each negative message to one that is affirming and constructive.

7๏ธโƒฃ Read books that help you feel better about yourself.

8๏ธโƒฃ Be aware of your past, and be willing to let go of it.

9๏ธโƒฃ List your goals and the actions you need to achieve them.

๐Ÿ”Ÿ Take one of those actions every day. Each time you do something that brings you closer to achieving your goals you will feel better about yourself.

When fears and self-doubts come back, and they still do, I break through them by using the tools and skills I’ve learned and now teach. They work.๐Ÿ˜Š

You Want Peace? Take a Look in the Mirror Dear….

That’s all it takes to change the world. Take a long hard look in the mirror and really notice who you are.

We’re all screaming for peace right now – not just world peace – but peace in our cities, in our workplaces, in our homes and in our minds. There has to be a better way to end this madness.

We need a new way of doing things. Yet we seem to be stuck in outdated modes of thought that have not been working. For if they did, we wouldn’t be in the predicaments we are in now. The past will keep repeating itself until we make a conscious choice to go in a new direction.

Going in a new direction begins inside of you, of me, and of us as individuals. Until we change as individuals, only then can the world change. ๐Ÿ™‚

One of my favorite quotes is from Mahatma Gandhi – ‘You must be the change you want to see in the world.’ So to have world peace we have to look in the mirror. Take a look and try to find the peace you’re searching for in your heart. ๐Ÿ’“

If you can’t find it ask yourself why. It’s not missing – it’s been there with you all along waiting for you to begin your search within. Peace isn’t hard to find at all. You just have to dig from underneath all of the rubble – fear and anger. Once you push the fear and anger to the side peace will be in plain view.

When you find the peace in your heart you start to exude it. It becomes infectious. Joy soon follows and a sense of calm is not too far behind. All of this from one good look in the mirror. One hard look at who you really are. That’s all it takes to get the ball rolling.

And it’s easy to pass it on. Remind your loved ones to find their peace within. They’ll know it can be done because they would have seen the transformation in you. Be a walking example of peace and watch how it spreads.

When others come to you full of fear and anger remember the peace within yourself and gently remind them that no matter how bad it gets it will eventually work itself out for the best.

We get what we dwell upon so if we keep our thoughts based on fear and anger that’s what we’ll continue to get. Instead let’s focus on peace – peace within ourselves and let these thoughts multiply. Remember, be the change you want to see – so be peaceful within your heart and watch your world begin to mirror that.

Have an amazing Friday Loves,

Tuesday Tips….Building Your Self-Esteem๐Ÿ’ž

When someone thinks of a person with self-esteem most people think of someone who has a positive attitude. While someone who generally has self-esteem could have a positive attitude, this is not what I am referring to.๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Having self-esteem is when you have a high regard for yourself, when you value who you are. In other words, having self-esteem is when you have a strong belief and respect for yourself.

If you find yourself down a lot and have a hard time feeling good, you may be dealing with low self-esteem. Below you will find 3 ways to build your self-esteem.

1๏ธโƒฃGive credit where credit is do: When you accomplish a particular task give yourself credit for doing something successfully. It may be something as small as thanking someone for something. That is a success because you acknowledge something that someone has done for you. So, give yourself credit for the things you do. I bet if you really thought about it, you do a lot of successful things throughout the day. Start giving yourself credit for that.

2๏ธโƒฃSay good things to yourself: When you accidentally drop or spill something, what are the first words out of your mouth? If the words dummy, idiot, stupid, or any other negative words come out of your mouth, try not reacting to the situation. Take a deep breath and move on knowing we all have accidents. The point here is not to react to the situation. Give yourself a break, think good thoughts about yourself, and donโ€™t forget to laugh. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿพ

3๏ธโƒฃAccept the good in you: Just like giving yourself credit for the success you have each day, acknowledge the things you know how to do well. There are things you can do better than anyone. If you gave it some thought you can come up with a number of things you do well. What are some of the things you do well? Think about it, and when you do, write them down. So, the next time you are feeling down go back to the list you made and accept the good in you.

Building your self-esteem is going to help you take bigger risks and have a more fulfilling life. With a high self-esteem, you can accomplish anything. You will find yourself sticking with your goals, and taking on any challenge that comes your way. Building self-esteem does take time; however, anything that is going to help you live your life to the fullest is worth it. Try finding someone who can help you along the way, a friend, a mentor, or even a coach. You can do it, I know you can!๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ

Have a Terrific Tuesday ๐Ÿ’‹

Monday Mindset….๐Ÿฆ‹

For many people happiness is an elusive butterfly in the garden of life. Imagine a young child in the garden on a summer day. The child sees a beautiful butterfly flitting from flower to flower. With eyes of wonder the child wants to see it close up, touch it, and hold it in their hands. The child goes towards the flower that the butterfly is resting on, with arms out stretched, only to find as he just gets in reach, the butterfly moves to another flower. Undeterred the child follows the butterfly to the next flower, and then the next, but the butterfly always stays just out of reach.๐Ÿ˜Š

As adults, happiness can seem just like that butterfly, always just out of reach. It becomes almost an obsession and the words โ€œif onlyโ€ฆโ€ become an increasingly large part of our thoughts and vocabulary. If only I had more money I would be happy, if only I was in a great relationship I would be happy, if only I could have a different jobโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ.and the list goes on. Even if we achieve one of our โ€œif only โ€œdesires, the happiness we seek is still just out of our reach. The truth of the saying โ€œThe grass is always greener on the other side of the fenceโ€ becomes our focus and perception. If this becomes our focus, we find that dissatisfaction and unhappiness increasingly keep growing in our life and experience.

The unhappiness within us can not be completely satisfied by external events or circumstances. To find happiness in life we must first be at peace with ourselves internally. External events and circumstances can bring us happiness in the moment, but they do not have a lasting effect on our inner self. Life experience brings a mixture of good and bad circumstances to everyone. To rely on lifeโ€™s experiences for our source of happiness would mean living life in a constant emotional roller-coaster ride.

๐Ÿ˜ƒHappiness comes from within. The inner contentment that survives the roller coaster ride of life has its roots deep within our being. The source of happiness comes from finding and embracing who we are as a person, and living a life of purpose. We need to find peace in every aspect of our life- the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. To discover acceptance, purpose and peace in all of these areas will give a sense of completion in life. If we neglect any one of these areas, we experience a sense of emptiness and feel something is missing. There is not a solid foundation for building happiness within, but we then, typically start to try to fill this incompleteness by looking for outside solutions. That is the point when we can fall into the โ€˜elusive butterflyโ€™ syndrome, and experience such frustration.

Is happiness an elusive butterfly for you? Spend some time in quiet reflection. Are you neglecting one of the four important parts of who you are and experiencing a sense of emptiness within? The more you discover, embrace and accept your uniqueness and purpose, the more you will experience the butterfly of happiness alighting on your shoulder.

Sending positive vibes friends….๐Ÿ’‹

Tuesday Tips…Can You Say Yes To Happiness…Part 2๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Happy Tuesday, how easy is it for you to say โ€™Yesโ€™ to happiness?๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Here are a few tips to help if you need a little boost๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿพ don’t forget the 1st 3 tips in a previous blog post! ๐Ÿ’ž

4๏ธโƒฃListen To Your Feelings: All feelings are good. Every feeling occurs for a reason: it is delivering a message. Sometimes that message is pleasant, other times not. Our tendency is to distract ourselves from unpleasant feelings, often through smoking, drinking or drugs of one kind or another. When you feel bad, avoid distracting yourself, and identify the reasonโ€”there is some need not being met.

5๏ธโƒฃGive Of Yourself: The more you give, the more you receive. There is probably no scientific study proving this to be so, but unconditional giving is hugely rewarding. It seems that the more of yourself you give, the greater the thrill and uplifting effect on your psyche. Help the needy. Give time if you can. Give anonymously, even if you lose the tax deduction!

6๏ธโƒฃMake It Happen: You have the ability to make things happen using your mind. Top sports stars, and business people use it, and so can you. There are many ways of doing this; one of the common methods is to use visualizationโ€”getting a picture in your mind of whatever it is that you want to happen. It does not actually have to be a visual picture; it could be a feeling, a smell, a sound, or any combination of the senses. Imagine finding the perfect parking near the entrance as you arrive at the supermarket or mall โ€ฆ the sky is the limit, but persevere! We are not used to utilizing this tool, so it takes practice.

7๏ธโƒฃAccept The Things You Cannot Change: We resist things we donโ€™t like, and often expend a tremendous amount of energy on this resistance. Whilst this can be good, and has resulted in tremendous advances through history, we should work to understand those things we cannot change, and then move on. Rather use the saved energy on something more worthwhile and productive. This is not to say that you should complacently accept anything. If you truly desire change, you should work towards that change; but spending time worrying about something without actively working to change it is unproductive and damaging to your wellbeing.

You have the power to create your Happiness…just follow my tips and you will be smiling in no time…enjoy๐Ÿ’‹
