31 Days Of Mental Health Awareness

How much water 💦do you drink? Do you know that water keeps you hydrated while going through depression! Water helps keep your skin clear and your body fresh!!

I personally drink water all day, if you can’t seem to stomach drinking plain water, try the fruit 🍒 ones!

Getting enough water every day is important for your health. Drinking water can prevent dehydration, a condition that can cause unclear thinking, result in mood change, cause your body to overheat, and lead to constipation and kidney stones.

Water helps your body:

Keep a normal temperature.
Lubricate and cushion joints.
Protect your spinal cord and other sensitive tissues.
Get rid of wastes through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements.

How much water 💦 do you drink?

💚💚

Before you lay your pretty heads down tonight, recite these words to yourself, don’t let depression and anxiety have the last words! Because YOU ARE:

WORTHY of everything your heart desires
VALUED even when you feel less than
SPECIAL because nobody else can compare to you
IMPORTANT because you matter to me, your children, your family, your job!

Whisper these words to yourself in the shower, on the side of the bed, in the bathroom!

Sleep Well 💚💚

Welcome, My name is Olivia Shepherd, and I am the founder of this awesome blog about depression and mental illness. I started this blog in 2016 after being diagnosed with Major Depression, Anxiety and PTSD. I didn't have anybody to talk too or share my feelings with, so I decided to share them publicly to help others. I'm passionate and dedicated to bringing awareness about mental health, especially in the African American community. I also want to empower your voice to speak up and fight the stigma surrounding this illness. I’m also the founder of AshesToBeauty Mentoring & Outreach, a virtual online service dedicated to to the positive development and accelerated recovery of girls and women who have experienced abuse and depression, Ashes To Beauty strives to empower women to take their lives back by providing life skill education, one-on-one mentorship and impactful personal tools by which these impacted women can build the foundation for a successful future. Look forward to having you read my blog, 𝓞𝓵𝓲𝓿𝓲𝓪 𝓑. 𝓢𝓱𝓮𝓹𝓱𝓮𝓻𝓭 💋
