📍Today I went to get my yearly pap, and while I was there, she asked did I have my mammogram for this year.
📍That got me to thinking, tons of women come to me saying they’re depressed, but none of them have actually gone to get a real diagnosis.
📍Why is that? 🤷🏽♀️ We would never let a cold, headache, backache, or pain go unnoticed…then why do you play with your brain?
📍Being depressed isn’t some fad; it’s a real illness, and if you have been depressed for more than a month, then you need to go get checked!!!
❎Stop letting the stigma around mental health keep you from going… ❎Stop letting your friends and family talk you out of going…
Don’t even let your doctor tell you not to go; if you have the signs, then go get yourself some help! There’s no excuse for why we play we our brains…
Before this year is out, go seek help; if your insurance doesn’t cover it, then seek out free resources in your community!! Or ask me, maybe I can help!

Welcome, My name is Olivia Shepherd, and I am the founder of this awesome blog about depression and mental illness. I started this blog in 2016 after being diagnosed with Major Depression, Anxiety and PTSD.
