Itโ€™s ok to say NO to people, including your friends, toxic family members, co-workers, or relationships!

Why is it difficult to say No?

โ€ขWe are people pleasers. I want them to be happy. I want to be the one to make them happy.

โ€ขWe are afraid of confrontation. If I say no there is going to be conflict.

โ€ขWe feel guilty. If I donโ€™t agree to do this thing for this person I love Iโ€™m a terrible person.

โ€ขThere could be ramifications. My boss asked me to do this extra work for them when I have a full plate already and John over there has nothing but time. I canโ€™t say no because it will look like Iโ€™m not part of the team or doing my job well.

โ€ขFear of rejection. If I donโ€™t do this for them, they just may not like me anymore.

โ€ขFeeling of responsibility. If I donโ€™t do this, who will?

Look your mental health is your first priority, people will be ok, bosses will be ok, family/friends will be ok if you just say NO.

Remember you owe no explanation to anybody period…..๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿฝ
