Glad I Don’t Look Like What I’ve Been Through! 💋

Glad I don’t look like:

🔅Depression/Anxiety

🔅Worrying over an Incarcerated child

🔅Fear/Doubt

🔅Suicide

🔅Chronic Pain

🔅Brokenness

🔅Procrastination

🔅Tiredness

🔅Sleepless Nights

Nope it hasn’t been easy, and yes I have cried my pretty little eyelashes off! But I got up and decided one day that I no longer like the sad woman I saw in the mirror! And I finally needed to do something about it, so I got off my butt and NOW….

I love ❤️ the way I look, happy, confident, strong, and free!

Yesssss….free!

Free from caring about what people think of me, my illness, my sobriety, my businesses, my child, and my relationships, HELL MY LIFE!

We have to learn how to dance even when it’s raining, remember the tears we shed are watering our seeds of growth!

Don’t let 2019 keep you stuck the same way 2018 did!

Stop suffering alone and in silence!

As we come to the last Sunday of this year, decide what you want different in the new year!

Decide that you will get up, get dress, and show out!!!

You deserve to be happy and free!

Let’s #upgrade and go after everything God promised!

Are you ready!??????

Welcome, My name is Olivia Shepherd, and I am the founder of this awesome blog about depression and mental illness. I started this blog in 2016 after being diagnosed with Major Depression, Anxiety and PTSD. I didn't have anybody to talk too or share my feelings with, so I decided to share them publicly to help others. I'm passionate and dedicated to bringing awareness about mental health, especially in the African American community. I also want to empower your voice to speak up and fight the stigma surrounding this illness. I’m also the founder of AshesToBeauty Mentoring & Outreach, a virtual online service dedicated to to the positive development and accelerated recovery of girls and women who have experienced abuse and depression, Ashes To Beauty strives to empower women to take their lives back by providing life skill education, one-on-one mentorship and impactful personal tools by which these impacted women can build the foundation for a successful future. Look forward to having you read my blog, 𝓞𝓵𝓲𝓿𝓲𝓪 𝓑. 𝓢𝓱𝓮𝓹𝓱𝓮𝓻𝓭 💋
