Happy Last Monday of 2018

Do you have any plans? Going out or staying in?

❤️Today is my wedding anniversary, so we plan on going to a church service, then eating breakfast 🍳

I’m not big on partying the night away in my town, future goal is to spend some time in another country or state next year! 🌎

So what do you all have planned? I’m a bit nosey and would love to know!!

If you live outside of the states how do you celebrate?

Happy New Year Eves 🥳

Glad I Don’t Look Like What I’ve Been Through! 💋

Glad I don’t look like:

🔅Depression/Anxiety

🔅Worrying over an Incarcerated child

🔅Fear/Doubt

🔅Suicide

🔅Chronic Pain

🔅Brokenness

🔅Procrastination

🔅Tiredness

🔅Sleepless Nights

Nope it hasn’t been easy, and yes I have cried my pretty little eyelashes off! But I got up and decided one day that I no longer like the sad woman I saw in the mirror! And I finally needed to do something about it, so I got off my butt and NOW….

I love ❤️ the way I look, happy, confident, strong, and free!

Yesssss….free!

Free from caring about what people think of me, my illness, my sobriety, my businesses, my child, and my relationships, HELL MY LIFE!

We have to learn how to dance even when it’s raining, remember the tears we shed are watering our seeds of growth!

Don’t let 2019 keep you stuck the same way 2018 did!

Stop suffering alone and in silence!

As we come to the last Sunday of this year, decide what you want different in the new year!

Decide that you will get up, get dress, and show out!!!

You deserve to be happy and free!

Let’s #upgrade and go after everything God promised!

Are you ready!??????

Are You Ready To Make and Keep Your New Years Resolutions? 👇🏾🥂

t’s time for that annual ritual of making (and breaking) our New Year’s resolutions. There is something about the idea of being able to start over that motivates us to pause (at least briefly) and reflect on our lives as they are, as well as how we would like them to be. Yet how many times have you thought back to last year’s goals and found that many or most of them were abandoned or just forgotten after a few weeks or months into the year?

Many of us have difficulty following through on our resolutions due to factors such as choosing unrealistic goals, not making them challenging enough and/or lacking the necessary motivation to stick with them. The following tips should help put you on the right course and assist you in staying committed to your most important goals for 2019.

🔅Start with a life vision

If you don’t know what you want your future to look like, how can you decide what areas of your life need to be worked on? Spend some quiet time TODAY reflecting on (and writing down) what is good, bad or incomplete. Then try to see your life if all of these areas were addressed and had become satisfactory to you.

🔅Get organized (my fav one) 😉

Clear away clutter. Go through paperwork, files, old bills and receipts, closets, drawers and storage containers. Decide what you need and will use and either throw out or give away all the rest. Put aside some time each week for this purpose. After you have cleaned out you can think about your existing systems for management and storage and see if these need reworking or just some fine-tuning. Keep ONE calendar to record all appointments, events, etc. Write down everything- don’t rely on memory.

🔅Expand your horizons and make a commitment to learning something new.

Challenging yourself will infuse you with greater energy and sense of purpose. It will help build your self-esteem to realize you really are capable of more than you had previously believed. This new learning can also give you additional resources to assist you in your career, personal or love life.

🔅Set challenging but realistic resolutions

Choose goals that stretch your ability muscles, yet are realistic and therefore less vulnerable to failure. Don’t respond to that negative inner voice that says; oh, I’m not capable of that. Instead, focus on what you truly desire for your life and relationships and let this be your guide.

🔅Write down your resolutions

Write them down and stick them on your bathroom mirror, your fridge, your car dashboard, your desk or wherever you know will be a good place for you to see them. You can also show them to a good friend, family member, your coach or anyone who could provide support and encouragement.

🔅Create action steps for each resolution; write them down, and keep an accounting of your progress for each.

A resolution without planned action is doomed to failure. Break each goal down into small action steps or objectives. Putting a date for completion will help ensure you follow through. Come up with an accountability system that will work for you. Make sure you check off each accomplishment as you go and be flexible and willing to make adjustments in your action steps in order to achieve your desired end results.

🔅Take care of yourself; eat well. Exercise regularly and learn to control and eliminate unhealthy stress.

I know this is an obvious one, so why is it often ignored or overlooked when we are attempting to make important life changes? How many times have you said, I don’t have the time to eat right, exercise, sleep adequately, etc? Not caring for yourself will guarantee failure. So, why not make this your first and most important resolution for 2019?

🔅Work to eliminate bad habits

Including this as a New Year’s resolution would put you on the road to good follow-through. Bad habits will sabotage your efforts and use up your limited resources of time, energy and focus. For each bad habit you decide to eliminate, have a good habit in mind to replace it with.

🔅Set appropriate and healthy limits in all areas of your life

Knowing your limits and enforcing them with yourself and others is a prerequisite to a healthy life and relationship. Learn to say no and enough and be firm in your resolve that this is a good thing to do. Otherwise, you will also be undermining your resolution to take care of yourself.

🔅Work to be the kind of person you want to be with

Bringing out the best qualities in yourself will help to ensure that you attract people of good quality into your life. You wouldn’t want to compromise on the standards you have set for a potential mate. Therefore, it’s important to understand that this also holds true for other people in search of relationships.

Now begin the new year with the resolve to be the person you know you have the potential to be. You’ll be pleased with the wonderful changes that await you!

#2019upgradeyourstandards

Daily small choices set the foundation for your standards. Stop reacting to temptations. The urge to open social media, check notifications, eat unhealthy foods, skip workouts, buy unnecessary stuff, dwell on the past, or waste time will always be there. It is your duty to recognize them and kill them before they kill you.

😀Good morning lady Warriors, as we go about our day remember we attract what we put out!

Watch out for the people who show jealousy, selfishness, passive aggression, dishonesty, or narcissism. Such people are energy vampires. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Have an amazing day,

Olivia

Merry Xmas Eve 🎄

Good morning friends, happy Monday and Christmas Eve! 🤗

Lord, sometimes the Advent season can be stressful, even difficult.

There are moments of awkwardness when someone gives you a gift and you have nothing for them, or vice versa.

There are moments of loneliness amid the bustle. The pains of fractured relationships seem especially sharp at this time of the year.

Please keep my eyes focused on you. Help me not get so invested in the idea of a ”perfect holiday” that I neglect my daily time in prayer.

Wishing all of you an amazing day, sending virtual hugs to those in need of one! 🤗🥰

Remember to put your mental health first and continue to stay focused!

Merry Christmas,

Olivia 🎄💋

There Is Hope For Overcoming Anxiety

#nomoreanxiety

🌀Anxiety can be a life-altering occurrence. It can happen without our knowledge and can change a life forever. That is not to say the changes are for the worse. If we are aware, early on, that we are experiencing stress and dealing with anxiety then we have a great opportunity to promote positive behavior. This positive behavior can then dominate our lives.

🌀There are varying effects anxiety has on the human body, mind and spirit. Anxiety can often times be a silent killer. Stress and anxiety go hand in hand and both promote heart problems, respiratory problems and can cause us to age more rapidly than if we were to have a healthier, slower paced lifestyle.

🌀Yoga, deep tissue massages, and even routine exercising can be beneficial in reducing anxiety. All it takes is a phone call, a minute of searching the Internet, or even a chat with your physician or pastor to begin the process of healing. Once you have discovered on your own or been diagnosed by a physician that anxiety is the culprit for what ails you, the healing process is as difficult as you want it to be.

🌀Being in denial about anxiety is a step in the wrong direction. When you discover you have symptoms of an illness (serious or otherwise) and all physical elements are ruled out you must look long and hard at how you are living. There is part of us that most are not even aware of until our health plummets and we are forced to look more closely at how we live.

🌀Most of us can fully benefit by slowing everything down and easing up on what we cram into one day. Sometimes it is as if we have to fill each moment of everyday to the bursting point in order to feel as if we have accomplished something. Stepping back and doing nothing is a challenge. And it is challenge well worth the effort and one we must take into serious consideration.

🌀Slowing down is the first step to forcing out the anxiety that is easily accessible to all of us as humans. Forming a plan of attack on the urges and pitfalls that lead us further into the darkness of anxiety is essential. The war against anxiety begins with the acknowledgement that it exists. When you replace stressful, anxious behavior with positive, relaxed behavior you have the beginnings of a beautiful life.
