Now Comes the End of Summer Blues๐Ÿ˜Œ

Summer has unofficially come to an end as of today, how many of you start feeling some type of way.

๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธWell at least I use too, I always saw the end of the summer as horrible because the winter was coming and my depression would get worse.

At least with the summer, I could go outside, play in my garden, take walks, and enjoy tons of BBQs.

My mind wasn’t focused on the doom and gloom of my life.

Now, here comes old man winter ๐Ÿ’จโ„๏ธand all I have is time on my hand.

Time to think about everything I didn’t accomplish in the summer, the weight I didn’t lose, the project I didn’t finish, or that one place I didn’t vacation.

I was always so sad to see Labor Day! Well not anymore, because I know longer let my depression mind get the best of me.

For some of you who don’t know it seasonal depression is a thing, and I have some tips to beat these blues:

๐Ÿ’ขRETHINK IT: See winter as a chance to catch up on all those emails, podcasts, and Youtube videos (mines, lol)

Turn your negative thinking into positive thoughts. If you didn’t lose weight, well research better ways. If you are trying to start that business, get a mentor or coach to give you better advice. Also, some of you may be ready to purchase a home, use the winter to fix your credit and you’ll be ready by next summer. This should keep you focused and busy throughout those long dreary winter months.

๐Ÿ’ขLOOK FORWARD: Pumpkin Spice everything, peppermint hot chocolate, and cute boots ๐Ÿ‘ข! Think about apple picking, cozy fires, and the holidays.

Yes, the holidays can be stressful but they don’t have to be if you plan early and just enjoy the moment.

๐Ÿ’ขEMBRACE THE OPPORTUNITY: Try to figure out why you get so blue during the winter months and plan ahead to make things better. Maybe see a therapist, or make friends with someone you can share outdoor events with. Don’t suffer alone, use this chance to get to know yourself better and those around you. Rather than falling back into old habits, create new ones that will reduce stress.

The winter months might not be as bad as we think it will be. Just focus on being just as happy as you were in the carefree summer months.๐Ÿ˜Š

Wishing you the best,
